One week and I'm out like fat kids in dodgeball!!!

I talked to Justin (roomie) tonight and it was the best conversation we've had. We discussed our experiences (the good and the bad) and we were honest. It was good. I wish we'd done this earlier but I don't think it would've happened. I still don't think we'll really be able to talk in-depth like this for a while simply because we agreed that a lot of this experience won't make since until we're looking back.

Lately, there has been some racial tension amongst the American students but I'm done with that. There were offensive and degrading comments made. People were disrespected. The basics. Eventually it got worked out and most of us moved on. Personally, I've realized that I may not agree with a lot of the reasons why white students come here, but I can't let myself get bent outta shape about it. It's too stressful. I know a lot of black people come here to identify with something we're removed from but I can't expect everyone else to feel like that. No worries thought; it'll all come out in life's wash.
